OtherWorld is an animated web series project that I hope I can get to make some day. It is planned to span four seasons (usually referred to as “Acts”), including a short introductory series and a side series focusing on the Heartburgs. The series primarily follows Joanna Heartburg, a moody 14 year old with magical powers. The project touches upon many sensitive subjects, contains graphic depictions of violence and strong language.
The story takes place in the titular "Otherworld", a dimension Joanna created as a child and currently resides in to this day. The main protagonist is Joanna Heartburg, who possesses extraordinary magical abilities. She lives with her friends, who all share her powers as well. Once he brings his best friend Eight from her world to his, things start to turn. He's finally forced to confront all his inner demons, and to follow up on a promise he had made a long time ago.
